Let's Get A Coffee
There is an LA meeting tradition in which the person seeking something, calls the person with the sought-after thing (advice, connections, love…) and they meet. At a coffee shop.
I’ve been making the rounds recently, doing such things, and yesterday I traveled to Venice CA and sat in Intelligentsia. This place is insane.

Unprotected Contacts Connected
I’m new to LA, and new to the job search and those two elements make a sadness sandwich. Don’t get me wrong - new experiences are not sad. My new city is exciting. My job search is a wishing well in which to throw resumes.
What’s sad is networking. Not meeting people and talking to them, not the sending of emails and arranging for advice to be given and questions to be asked.

"That Is One Nutty Hospital..."
While America mourns the passing of Patrick Swayze (and we all should - he was Bodhi, he was Johnny, and Road House people… Road House) another celebrity death has me saddened.
Larry Gelbart was one of the most prolific entertainment writers of our time. He spanned TV, film and theater, won more awards than God and was apparently a really sweet and wonderful man.
