When I was living in LA, I stayed in an apartment complex called the Oakwoods. Corey Haim also lived there.

I would see him by the pool, or lurking in the lobby. He was always wearing the same grungy hat. People said they always saw him doing drugs - taking pills or smoking weed. He was a joke.

I never saw that. I just saw someone who looked like he needed something to do. Maybe he had already done it all.
